Specialized Crane Operator Training Programs - For Employers
ATS Specialized crane operator training and certification programs are designed for the employer and their employees. ATS can bring these training programs to your location and teach your employees on your site with your equipment.
- NCCCO Written & Practical Exams
- Large Telescopic Boom Cranes (swing cab/rough terrain)
- Small Telescopic Boom Cranes (fixed cab/boom truck)
- Lattice Crane (Crawler or Truck)
- Articulated (knuckleboom) Cranes
- OSHA Compliant Rigging & Signalperson Qualification or Certification
Trainees in these programs are prepared for and tested on the written and practical exams for certification through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). ATS is approved by the NCCCO as a test site for both the NCCCO written and NCCCO practical exams.
You can also host your own training / testing site and ATS will perform all the set-up at no cost to the employer. This program may reduce the cost of your training by allowing other individuals to train and test at your hosted event.
ATS employs a group of crane operation instructors who travel to remote locations for crane training, testing, and certification. These specialized crane training programs can be customized to meet the employer's time and cost requirements.

Standardized Crane Operator Programs – ATS Location
ATS offers two beginner level Mobile Crane Operation programs, a NCCCO Mobile Crane Certification prep/test program, and a NCCCO Rigger/Signalperson Certification program every three weeks at our facilities in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
MOBILE CRANE OPERATIONS – 1
- Beginner Level Curriculum
- 3 Weeks, Monday through Friday
- Fixed Cab (small hydraulic or boom truck) Mobile Cranes
- Swing Cab (large hydraulic or rough terrain – RT) Mobile Cranes
- NCCCO Preparation, Testing & Certification
MOBILE CRANE OPERATIONS - 2
- Student must have successfully completed Program -1
- 3 Weeks, Monday through Friday
- Lattice Boom (Crawler or Truck) Cranes
- Articulated Boom (Knuckleboom) Cranes
- NCCCO Preparation, Testing & Certification
NCCCO MOBILE CRANE OPERATOR PREP/TEST ONLY
- Experienced operators being paid by a business only
- 1 Week, Monday through Friday
- Any two combinations of above mobile crane types
- NCCCO Preparation, Testing & Certification
NCCCO RIGGER/SIGNALPERSON CERTIFICATION
- 1 Week, Monday through Friday
- Rigging & Signalperson training
- NCCCO Preparation, Testing & Certification
