NCCCO Recertification
Maintain Your Certification. Stay Compliant. Stay Working.
ATS Specialized provides comprehensive NCCCO Crane Recertification preparation and refresher training designed to help crane operators confidently renew their certification and remain compliant with national safety standards.
Why It Matters
Crane Certifications Have an Expiration Date
Crane operator certifications issued by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) are time-sensitive and must be renewed to remain valid. Recertification ensures operators continue to meet the national safety and performance standards required in one of the most high-risk industries in the field.
ATS Specialized Training helps you stay ahead of expiration deadlines and maintain continuous, uninterrupted employability.
Failing to recertify on time can result in:
- Loss of active certification status
- Work stoppages or limited job eligibility
- Delays in employment or project placement
- Potential liability exposure for employers
Course duration 2–5 Days - Based on certification types, classroom prep needed, written and practical exams needed.
NCCCO Exam Standard - Nationally recognized certification.
5-Year Renewal Cycle - Per NCCCO recertification policy.
2-Part Exam Format - Written + practical assessment.
Understanding the Recertification Standards
1,000 Hours of Documented Crane Operation
To qualify for NCCCO recertification without a practical examination, operators must have at least 1,000 hours of crane related experience over the previous five years. This requirement ensures that candidates maintaining their certification have continued to apply their skills in real-world operational settings throughout their certification period.
For complete eligibility details refer to the official NCCCO Candidate Handbook at nccco.org.
